Dolly Beaded Statement Necklace

This one is pretty special for me! I made it with extra special beads – some I’ve been hoarding since starting Luneta in 2020, some I bought on my trip to Japan earlier this year. Each bead is special in its own unique way: Foiled, spotted, striped, with lampwork accents, wavy… Together, they make a beautiful combo of pink, blue, green and white, aka one of my favourite colour combos. I called it Dolly because I made it to match my vintage Japanese plastic doll’s outfit ౨ৎ

I kept one of these necklaces for myself, which is saying a lot! And every time I’ve worn it so far, many compliments were received.

Materials: Vintage speckled white and pink glass beads, white and green glass beads, pink foil glass beads, aqua foiled glass beads, white with aqua stripes glass beads, white with blue stripes glass beads, aqua and white wavy glass beads, wavy clear glass beads, textured white glass beads – all from Japan in the 50s/60s; vintage Czech aqua and pink teardrop beads; vintage round pink Czech beads; new 14k gold-filled hardware, spring clasp and heart ring; pink silk thread
