Another one for mismatched earring fans! This new collection was inspired by childhood memories and Showa-era Japanese toys and candy, and these earrings are pretty much the combination of all those elements for me. I sourced the spotted foiled beads at a vintage bead shop in Japan, and by the look of them, I’d say they were produced in the 1950s/60s based on deadstock beads I’ve sourced before. They are all a bit different from the others, making each pair of earrings unique!
Materials: Vintage 1950s/60s Japanese white glass beads with foiled blue or green spots; 1940s squished baroque blue glass bead, also made in Japan; 1940s pink and green dimpled glass “Cherry Brand” Japanese glass beads; vintage opal-y pink melon glass bead; sterling silver ear posts, butterfly backs, and ball ear posts
Size: 5.4cm x 1cm at its longest and widest
Weight: 5.67g (midweight)
Handmade in London, England, with sustainable vintage beads.
