Rare reverse-carved early plastic brooch with frame!

Reverse-carved lucite brooches were very popular in the 1940s and ‘50s. Usually, they are clear, but this one has a blue background and a lovely cream frame, really making it a work of art!

Materials: Original vintage 1940s plastic brooch with a dark blue background, with two reverse-carved yellow birds. The brooch is rectangular, and the top has slits representing a cage. It also has brass curls around the frame for an extra rococo touch! Marked “British made” in the back.
