A darling combo of vintage Japanese, Italian, and German glass beads from the 1940s, 1950s and 60s. These are all extra fun: Textured, foiled, spotted, folded, swirly, wavy… Modern beads just don’t have this level of detail anymore! Not to toot my own horn, but you won’t find a beaded bracelet as special as this one anywhere else.
This collection is inspired by childhood nostalgia, Showa-era Japanese toys and candy. I hope that wearing this special piece brings joy to the wearer’s day!
Materials: Vintage Japanese white glass beads with colourful accents made in the 1940s, 50s and 60s; vintage 1940s givre yellow and clear beads, vintage 1950s swirly yellow glass bead, and 1960s aqua and clear givre beads made in Germany; vintage Italian aqua swirly glass bead; sterling silver hardware, spring clasp and heart ring; silk thread
